Alessandro Santoro's Life Was born in Milan, 18/11/1978.
He attended the Franco Russoli art Institute,
achieving
highest grades. After studying leatherwork in Pontedera,
he enrolled in the Accademla di Belle Arti in Carrara
where he received maximum
grades in second level sculpture.
But Santoro doesn't leave it at that, he sharpens his skills in painting and incision, the great results of which are seen in his
first personal show in Carrara at Circoscrizione 2 Gallery, 29/02/07.
The numerous public included many art experts appreciated his work.
His sculpture manifests the command, he has over volumes,
moving figures that dance or fly through the air leaving one
to perceive their thoughts and soul. There is, perhaps, a touch
of the erotic but with class.
Some of the intense, suffered sculpture chooses terracotta or resin, but marble, too
The engraving are mainly "acquaforte'' (etchings).
As in the sculptures, here we find persons in movement, and a freedom of oniric lines. Their rare beauty complex and strong, catches the world surrounding the artist, questions and aspects of the artist's maturity. The etchings strike the eyes and heart of the beholder.
Santoro's personality prevails also in his paintings; there is softness, but at the same time you get his strong determination.
Color is in his D.N,A., so one can grasp why it is so essential to him. Trens-atlantic influences may be visible, but they go beyond abstraction to the point of achieving chromatic games of excellent workmanship.
They are made to create a sensation but not for absolute significance.
Dimensions are important for capturing the spectator, draving him within and putting him in the center; a man inclined toward a future unknown and maybe dire, maybe pleasant...
The little figures are there to remain in ones eyes, but left for Individual interpretation. Materials are various: oil on canvas, acrylic, recycled things... They all combine for an extrordinary harmony and create mixtures of lines and surfaces that produce strong sensations and big emotions. For the alert, sensitive visitor, there is all the intensity of a moment, and a total perception of reality!
